His Story.

It all started on a gorgeous spring evening in April of 2016. Sam and I were both single parents which gave way to some serious soul searching, learning, and growth for each of us.

Sam expressed some interest to her brother, Nick, about participating in a sweat lodge in Atlanta and he directed her to contact me. I was going to the sweat lodge around once a month at the time and jumped at the opportunity to hang out with Sam for the first time when she called. We went to grade school together but I really only knew her as Nick's little sister because of the 5 year age gap between us. I picked her up and even though we are both shy people I could feel the sparks flying between us.

Two weeks and a couple hangouts later it was clear this was the person I had been searching for.

Two years later we had Mr. Murphy in Feb. 2018 and then got married in Oregon on July of 2018.

Every day that goes by and every lesson we continue to learn is a reminder that we are each exactly what the other had been searching for!!

I wasn't on a journey to be a single dad. I was on a journey to be the best dad and person I could be, that hasn't changed, but it has grown and evolved!
